'Two Tipsy Turtles' is an improvisational duo formed by viola player Yanna Pelser and dancer Julia Gómez Avilés. Experimental and humoristic performance in search of new identities of the self through the absurd. Premiered on 2nd November 2019 at the Open Stage Poortgebouw in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. -
No Borders Project
The 7th No Borders project organized by UNITY SPACE took place in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam from 17 December 2018 until 5 January 2019.The three weeks of researching and reflecting on the subject matters of "borders", "boundaries" and "frontiers" through movement, energy and communication with non-linguistic medium, to go beyond our own individual limits, concluded with an instant composition performance on January 6th at the Trường TC Múa's theatre.

Anda Jaleo
Anda Jaleo is a poem written by Federico García Lorca and became a popular song during the times of the Spanish Civil War.Julia collaborated with Erik Larrea for his Master Final Recital (Rotterdam, 2018) in which they performed a version of this song mixing Flamenco with Middle Eastern and Chinese music.

Go Electronics
Julia was invited to perform with Nelson Hiu & Dickson Dee 'Go Electronics', an improvised performance commissioned by the Jazz Improvise Meeting Festival 2017 which took place at the Times Museum in Guangzhou, China. -
Nu Duo
Nu Duo is the music ensemble formed by the collaboration between American bass clarinetist William Hayter and French percussionist Julien Moussiegt, who specializes in unique improvisations crafted for the unique circumstances of each performance, including the audience and environment, in addition to performing composed pieces. The 8th November 2015, Nu Duo and GomA performed at the WTC Art Gallery (Word Trade Center Rotterdam) creating together a unique instant composition inspired in the art works exhibited in the gallery at that moment.
