My body’s language
This is not a dance course. Meaning that you will not learn a sequence of steps or choreography. You will not look at your figure in the mirror, as there will be no mirror. But you will learn how to use other senses to be aware of your body’s posture and movement. This is a creative movement class. Each of us will move in a different way. Since our bodies, backgrounds, and experiences are different, our body’s voice will also differ. We will use our imagination to play with movement, to research and explore ways of communicating with our body’s language.
You don’t need to have previous dance experience. Neither you need a “fit” body or special skills. Anyone can join. You just need to bring comfortable clothes and an open mind.

Ballet movement class
Having studied and practiced ballet for the last 14 years, Julia has a deep understanding of its technique. Regardless of whether the class is for beginners, amateurs or professionals, she likes to teach ballet with a contemporary approach: allowing the students to breath, to listen to their bodies, avoiding to look at their shape in the mirror, etc. I like to improve the dancers’ awareness of not only of our body but also of our energy flow as we move and dance through the space, allowing them to discover the joy of ballet and use it as a playful tool to gain skills such as balance, strength, coordination, speed of motion, and many more. -
Space Body Logic
Space Body Logic is a contemporary dance class designed by Julia Gómez Avilés for people without -or with very little- previous background in dance to understand the anatomic possibilities of their body when moving in the space, as well as understanding the space in between their body-parts in order to achieve a greater movement range.
